When I met Billy, I had only been working at the Gold Coast Arts Centre for a short period of time.  I was chatting with other people as this enthusiastic gentleman with a deep and refreshing Scottish accent came up and joined the conversation.  I was immediately intrigued with his awesome aura, which I haven’t felt from the likes of anyone since my mother and late (Scottish) Grandfather.  It’s an indescribable aura that spoke to anyone in his presence, saying “Listen to this guy, he’s important and you’re lucky to meet him.”

Even with me being 18, and he being ... a pinch more seasoned, we interacted as if we were easily the same age.  We were both on either side of the age spectrum, and our maturity levels met somewhere in the middle.  Not say say Billy is, by any means, at the end of the age spectrum!

Billy Raymond is not only an interesting, but a refreshing person to talk to.  I’ve known him for no longer than a few weeks, but a few weeks is more than enough.

His work colleague from everywhere else in the building.
James
