HI GANG!  Sorry I’ve taken so long with this wee blog and it’s certainly not Linda’s fault, as she has reminded me a couple of times that I hadn’t done one for a while.  When you are going on a Marathon tour of 13 theatres with 14 performances, so many things that you thought were quite clear and all wrapped up can come apart and you’ve got to act straight away to fix the problem, as people want it sorted out TODAY!!!  But it may take me a COUPLE of days to do so!!  Fortunately there have only been a couple of “wee hassles”, but these can take longer to sort out than the big ones, something that we all probably know.

I am going to write a more interesting blog when the tour gets back - we set off for our first date in a few days’ time - 12 February, and we return to base on Sunday 3 March.  We will all probably be a wee bit ‘knackered’ by the end, but after a few days’ rest we will all be ready to do it all over again  … BULLS … ooops …DUST!  But I will write asap!  I hope you will be interested in the photo of our set hereunder.  Not all of it goes on tour with us, as it’s too expensive to take it for ‘one-nighters’, but we take enough to avoid working on an empty stage!  The set was designed by Mr Danny McCoy, who worked for me for almost 15 years when I managed the Burdekin Theatre in North Queensland.  With a small budget, I reckon he has done a first class job!
