BILLY
RAYMOND
1972
Billy returned to Sydney and to a 13-part series of the Australian version of “The Generation Gap”.  He also did another series of “Rose and Crown” with Reg Varney.

In a Scottish newspaper interview, Billy, referring to these two shows, is quoted as saying “I will probably stay in them for another year.  After that there are much bigger plans afoot ... I’m saying nothing yet, but let’s just put it this way:  the film industry is booming out there.”

During this year Billy also presented “Old Time Music Hall” at Western Suburbs League Club.

A newspaper article says that Billy had been presenting a Friday lunch-time fun show at the Western Suburbs League Club for the preceding 3 years.

In October Billy also released his next LP, “The Road to the Isles”, which had sold 5,000 copies by the end of the year.

On Christmas Day Billy did a one-off TV show for children’s charity.
